Amber Elaine Fountain, born November 17, 1993, was diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer (Glioblastoma) in March of 2021. She immediately underwent a resection (brain surgery) and began treatment, which included six weeks of chemotherapy and radiation. At the time, we were told she had only 12–15 months to live, even with the standard course of treatment.

After those six weeks of treatment, Amber had another MRI that showed the tumor was not going away. Doctors told us she would need to double her chemotherapy dose, but her body could not tolerate it for more than three days.

Around that time, a family member shared a video on social media about someone who had beaten brain cancer using cannabis oil. I reached out to that individual, and he was willing to help us. Along with others in the cannabis community, they donated cannabis oil to Amber.

The goal was to work up to taking a gram a day within 90 days to help fight the cancer. Amber never backed down. She reached a gram a day within just two weeks. As we received help from the cannabis community, we also began learning how to grow this incredible plant ourselves so we could produce the oil. At that level of use, it can become very expensive, and being self-sufficient was key.

Over time, the tumor began shrinking. Things looked promising until nearly two years later, near the end of 2023, when there was a recurrence as the original tumor was nearly gone. Amber underwent another brain surgery (resection). After that, the tumor remained stable, but she began experiencing seizures. In January of 2024, she underwent laser ablation. Through it all, Amber continued taking cannabis oil and continued fighting.

Near the end of 2024, we were told the tumor was no longer shrinking. Doctors explained that Amber likely had only weeks, or possibly months, if she chose not to pursue further treatment. She decided to try the remaining treatment options other than chemotherapy and radiation, while continuing to take cannabis oil alongside the treatments available to her.

In November of 2024, Amber suffered a seizure that would not stop unless she was heavily medicated with seizure medications. The laser ablation had caused significant inflammation, and one thing we learned through this journey is that inflammation can fuel cancer growth. Amber was sent home, and we were told she had about two weeks. The cancer had become too aggressive, and nothing was working.

Four weeks later, on December 24, 2024, Amber Elaine Fountain passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family.

I share her story because her fight inspired the creation of this business, Fountain Farm Seeds LLC, in honor of Amber and her battle with Glioblastoma. I want others to hear her story and find hope in it. Amber lived far longer than the 12–15 months we were originally given, and cannabis played a meaningful role in her journey. This plant should not be misunderstood or dismissed.

Maybe, like Amber did, others can find hope and support within the cannabis community. It is a remarkable plant, and the world deserves to better understand its potential medicinal value.

Amber was an inspiration to so many.

Fly high, my angel.
