Germination!

Fountain Farm Seeds LLC encourages all customers to understand and follow the laws set forth by their Country, State / Province, and local municipalities before germinating our seeds.

Here at Fountain Farm Seeds, we use the paper towel method, also known as the moist paper towel method. This germination method has been successful for us. Items that are used are:

  • Paper Towel

  • Plastic Ziplock Bag or Container

  • Distilled water, RO Water, or Filtered Tap (if you live in the city and it contains chlorine). We use RO Water or Filtered Tap.

  • Don’t forget the Seeds!

Instructions:

  1. Moisten the paper towel with the water of choice.

  2. Squeeze out any excess water.

  3. Fold the paper towel and place the Seeds in the middle.

  4. Place the paper towel with seeds inside a Plastic Ziplock Bag or Container.

  5. Place the Plastic Ziplock bag or Container that contains the seeds in a dark place with Temps between 70-85 for 48-72 hours.

Usually after 48-72 hours we should have a tap root at least ½ inch or more in length. Then it’s ready for us to plant it! With this method, we’ve had a 99% germination success rate compared to other germination methods we’ve used in the past. We still haven’t found a better way of germinating Seeds!
